Deborah Geesling

Deborah Geesling’s life was transformed when one of her four sons developed a serious mental illness (SMI), thrusting her family into the harsh realities of a broken treatment system. As a result of that journey, she and her husband, Matthew, founded P82 Project Restoration to bring real hope to caregivers and create permanent housing for people living with SMI. Deborah’s advocacy has shaped policy at both state and national levels, most notably co-authoring Arizona’s SCR1005, which formally recognizes the vital role of families and caregivers and strengthens communication with healthcare providers.

Today, Deborah works to equip churches and communities to move toward those affected by SMI with understanding, dignity, and the hope of Christ. Her message amplifies the voices of families often overlooked and calls the church to step into one of the most neglected areas of modern ministry.
