Wally Ziolo (pronounced: Zi-oh-low)
Ministry Relations Manager – Joni and Friends Ohio
Wally Ziolo brings over a decade of experience in disability services, transitioning from a successful aviation career to answer a divine calling to minister to individuals living with disabilities. His journey began as a Home Health Aide, where he gained invaluable firsthand insight into the unique challenges faced by those with disabilities.
Building on this foundation, Wally trained individuals with disabilities in job skills at a county board of developmental disabilities. This experience deepened his understanding of the exceptional strengths and talents within the disability community, reinforcing his commitment to fostering inclusion and empowerment.
In February 2021, Wally joined Joni and Friends, where he collaborates with churches and like-minded organizations to provide industry-recognized resources, specialized training, and the insightful perspective of Joni Eareckson Tada. Through these initiatives, he equips ministries to effectively Reach, Care, and Connect with individuals and families living with disabilities.
Based in Lancaster, Ohio, Wally serves a broad regional scope, including Ohio, Western Pennsylvania, Eastern Indiana, and West Virginia. His dedication to disability ministry reflects his deep passion for creating inclusive communities that recognize and celebrate the God-given value of every individual.
Outside of ministry, Wally enjoys exploring God’s creation through nature walks, kayaking, photography, and traveling.
