Churches are increasingly encountering individuals and families affected by mental health concerns, disabilities, and complex life challenges, yet many pastors and ministry leaders feel uncertain about when and how to partner with community professionals. This workshop will provide practical guidance for building effective relationships between churches, mental health providers, disability service organizations, and counseling clinics, including strategies for referrals, collaboration, and ongoing care coordination. Participants will learn how to evaluate counselors, clinics, and disability support services to ensure they provide clinically sound, culturally competent, disability-informed care that aligns with Christian values while helping churches create pathways toward belonging, support, and wholeness for individuals and families.
