Supporting special needs families isn’t a one-time gesture; it’s a long-term commitment rooted in relationship, presence, and love. This practical workshop equips everyday people to show up meaningfully and consistently for the SN families in their lives. We’ll cover practical ways to include, invite, and listen proactively to SN families; how to connect families who might find unexpected community together; the role of prayer; and how to build care-adaptive environments where all families feel welcomed. We’ll also broaden the conversation beyond children with disabilities to include those caring for aging parents, foster children, and more — and explore how churches, hospitals, neighbors, and whole communities can all play a meaningful part. You’ll leave with fresh ideas and a renewed sense of calling to support these remarkable families for the long haul.
