Cheryl Geras attended Point Park College in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After marrying at a young age, she continued her education in business and went on to build a career in the healthcare industry. For ten years she worked In Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance services, assisting convalescent patients ranging in age from 18 months to 100 years old. Cheryl’s awareness of severe mental health conditions began with her extended family and deepened through her personal experience as a caregiver for an immediate family member living with bipolar disorder. Through years of trial, error, and
disappointment, Cheryl developed a deep compassion for others navigating similar challenges. This journey led her to become a passionate advocate for individuals and families affected by mental illness. For the past 20 years Cheryl has been employed as the Human Resource and Financial Manager at Milpak Graphics in King, North Carolina. Cheryl also serves as the Board Chair for the Fighting Goliath for Mental Health non-profit organization.
