Marcus Smith is a Deaf ministry leader, educator, and advocate whose work centers on creating bold, accessible spaces for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing communities. Born and raised in Baltimore, Marcus navigated both the Deaf and hearing worlds, shaping his commitment to bridge communication barriers with clarity, empathy, and truth. He serves as an Educator supporting Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing students, helping language-deprived learners build confidence through speech, sign, literacy, and identity development. Marcus also leads the Deaf Ministry at Union Church, where he guides individuals and families toward faith, purpose, and belonging. A dedicated community builder, Marcus uses ASL, storytelling, and cultural insight to amplify Deaf voices, challenge systemic gaps in education, and empower the next generation with opportunity and hope.
